Crown Green Bowls at The Albert Club, West Didsbury
What finer way to spend a summer’s afternoon than watching those woods glide across the green?
The bowling team practices most Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons from spring through until early autumn, and sometimes in winter under floodlights.
There are two teams who play in the Altrincham and South Manchester League.
Newcomers of all ages welcome, guidance given and bowls available to borrow from behind the bar.

Social Bowling
Every Wednesday, from May 3rd until September 6th, social bowling will take place from 6:30pm, and everyone is invited to roll along. It’s free, and a great way to make friends with other Albert Club members.
Each week, at least one player from our teams will be on hand to show you the ropes and give you a game.
Bowls will be available to borrow.
If you like it, and feel like playing for the team, you could soon be bowling against the great and the ‘wood’ of South Manchester,
Altrincham and Trafford – both home and away. There are league games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, plus Monday afternoons for the over 55s.
In the meantime, we hope to see you one Wednesday on the green.
