What's On

We have lots going on at the club throughout the year with a volunteer social group who work hard to ensure you get the most out of your membership!  

You're required to be a member to join in with most of our groups, but you're welcome to sample them beforehand to see if they're right for you. Open Mic Night, Baby Group, SciBar and Quizzes are open to both members and non-members.  

Our larger, ticketed events, such as our Fireworks Display, Beer Festival and Live Music Nights are also available to non-members however members get a priority window to purchase tickets and non-members are subject to a surcharge.



Albert Lunch Club
Wed 31 July

The Albert Lunch Club will involve a great three course lunch created by our in-house chef, Boz Berry.  After this, while sipping coffee or finishing their wine, diners will be entertained by a first class speaker. We can accommodate about 35 people, comfortably seated for a meal and the environment and facilities are ideal for such an occasion.


This time our speaker will be veteran punk rocker, author, raconteur, film buff and writer of comic songs, C.P.Lee, described by the New York Times as a "minor Dylanologist".

In ‘Bob Dylan, Didsbury and Me’ C.P. tells how, in 1964, Bob Dylan came to Didsbury to record a TV programme. He describes Didsbury then and Dylan’s relationship with Manchester music from a personal perspective using archive recordings and first hand accounts but, don’t worry, he won’t hold back on the jokes.

Open to Albert members, guests and non-members. Tickets are £23 per person and available at the bar. Once you have your ticket, select your menu and then e-mail pam.siddons@thealbertclub.co.uk with your lunch choice. Coffee provided and choice of wines available. Club opens at 12.30pm, lunch served at 1pm.
