Thankyou to all those who came to the Open Day
And an especially big thankyou to all those who helped out on the day! It was a fantastic success and wouldn't have been possible without you.
Fundraiser Saturday 27th June
Two very enterprising teenage members of the club (Belle & Ellen) are putting on a big fundraising day in aid of Diabetes UK.
They're going to have
a Bowling Tournament during the day (weather permitting) with Cream teas and Cakes on sale, and a Quiz Night with a fantastic Raffle and Auction in the evening. The day will start at 3pm and if you fancy playing bowls register over by the bowling hut when you arrive. The tournament is open to all beginners & experts there's a trophy to play for and some great prizes. The quiz, raffle and auction will start at around 8 o'clock. The two girls have already got loads of good things to auction off from local & national businesses, but what they need now is as many people as possible to come down on the day and support them with their generosity. Have a look at their website here for more information on auction lots etc. and the charity they are supporting. NB.If you can't make it to the auction on the day, you can make a sealed bid in advance.
Tote
Don't forget the tote is drawn every Friday, make sure you're 'In It To Win It' for a chance to win a cash prize! (much better odds than the National Lottery!)
Friday Nights
Friday nights are great social nights at the club, come down and enjoy the club facilities, whether it's for a relaxing 'early doors' drink after work, or spending the evening with friends. Weather permitting we're firing up the BBQ providing very reasonably priced Hot Dogs & Burgers, there's often a game of bingo to be had if you fancy a flutter (but it's not compulsory), or just enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the club. The last Friday of each month the ever popular 'T.G. Elias' and 'The Idle Young' will be performing later in the evening after a few games of Bingo.
